Simple Oyster Stew

Here is an easy recipe for New Year’s Oyster stew to bring a little bit of luck.  This recipe makes enough stew to serve at least 4 people.

Ingredients:

  • 1 qt. Whipping Cream
  • 2 8 oz. Cans Oysters
  • 4 Potatoes
  • Salt and Pepper to taste (the more the merrier)

Instructions:

  1. Chop potatoes into small pieces and add to large soup pan. Cover potatoes in cream.
  2. Warm potatoes and cream over gentle heat while stirring constantly. Add undrained oysters.
  3. Continue stirring and heating stew until it is hot throughout and potatoes are thoroughly cooked (about 20 minutes). Add salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Enjoy immediately.

Happy New Year!
