When Daylight Savings Time arrives, it’s time to drag yourself out of your winter hibernation. Here are some ways to get yourself back on track.
- Open up your curtains. During the winter it’s necessary to keep them closed in order to keep out the cold, but as it warms up the extra sunlight will help you adjust to the earlier hours.
- Check the expirations on your canned goods, baking supplies, and medications. Because really, when was the last time you made something with maraschino cherries?
- Change the batteries in your smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector. Because you don’t want to deal with the low battery chirp three months from now.
- Attempt to eat plants, again. Better produce is on the way, and you may be able to find some decent fresh vegetables at the grocery store by now. Adding fresh fruits and vegetables to your diet will help give your body the energy it needs to deal with this madness.
- If all else fails, just don’t schedule anything for March 13th. It’s bad luck, anyway.
Happy Sleep Deprivation!
